Raamish Siddiqui

Raamish Siddiqui is the grandson of renowned Islamic Scholar Maulana Wahiduddin Khan. Raamish is an Islamic thinker & writer. He frequently writes Op-ed and Opinions for India’s leading national dailies. His focus area has been Islam in the contemporary world and his writings are focussed on social and intellectual upliftment within the Muslim world. His books have been published in English, Hindi and Urdu. 

Raamish has regularly appeared on various televised discussions on contemporary issues in the Indian Muslim society. An active participant in inter-faith initiatives since his youth days, Raamish’ focus is on fostering inter-faith relations while promoting positive thinking among youth. 

Prominently representing Islamic view on various topical issues in India and around the world, Raamish actively pursues the cause of bringing about reforms within the Indian Muslim community. According, to Raamish the society is in dire need of reforms at various levels. One of which is the Madarsa-curriculum reforms in India highlighting how the 200 year old curriculum taught in seminaries is obstructing the development of scientific temperament within the Muslim community. 

He was nominated in the year 2020 for TheMuslim500, a listing of 500 most influential Muslims in the world, published by Jordan’s Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute of Islamic Thought

NOTABLE WORKS

Among his most notable works is his first book The True Face of Islam which was published by HarperCollins. The book was accredited as a bestseller at the 2017 World Book Fair.

Translations

Amongst his most notable translational works was the biography of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in Urdu language, which was published by the Publication Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
